Painted Mason Jars For Fall

Painted Mason Jars For Fall

Please read the Instructions below:
You place the vinyl on the outside of the jar.
You paint your jar. Letting the paint dry for each layer. Then when the jar is dry add varnish. Letting the varnish dry between each layer.
Remove vinyl after the jar has dried completely.
I used an X-acto knife to cut around the vinyl shape then peeling it off the jar.
I used Waverly Chalk Paint. Then I sealed it with Waverly clear matte varnish.
The paints and varnish can be purchased at Walmart.
2 different techniques were used with each jar. The jar with the maple leaf was painted with a solid color paint. The jar with the acorn I applied several layers of paint to distress it. Giving it a more woodsy feel to it. I used the dry brush technique to apply 3 different colors of paint onto the jar with the acorn.
The candles are battery operated. I'm in the process of making tags and die cuts to hang on the jars.

Treasures Chest and Map Party Favors

Treasures Chest and Map Party Favors

I recently found out that my granddaughter loves the Pirates Show "Jake And The Neverland Pirates"

So that meant I had a reason to get the Buccaneer Cartridge! She made up her own game here at my house about going out on a treasure hunt. So the next time I see her I'm getting ready for the new game she likes to play in treasure hunting.

Here's my first project with this cartridge. I have the map and one chest ready to go. I found some pink princess money at the dollar store. I was so excited to find some coins.

I love this cartridge. I cut the treasure map and treasure chest at fit to page.

Cricut Cuttlebug All In One Folder Using It For Stamping

A few years ago in 2012, I figured out you could stamp using the Cuttlebug All In One Folder.
The Cuttlebug All In One Folder works Great for clear stamps. I tried a foam stamp as well and pressed very carefully It worked also. I would be careful using foam stamps with this though. Do a dry run to make sure the stamp is not too thick for the Cuttlebug All In One Folder .

I added a plastic grid to the base of the platform. The 2nd plastic grid goes on the outside of the lid as a guide to line up my stamps. I ran the plastic grid through the Xyron machine and then adhered it to the base of the platform and the 2nd plastic grid I adhered to the outside of the lid. The Cuttlebug All In One Folder is for embossing, de-bossing and letterpress. The holes in the platform do not affect the stamped image at all. I put a piece of tape behind the paper to hold it in place. It works great for when you need to line up stamps in just the right place on your card front. If your image didn't stamp cleanly then you can just ink up your stamp and stamp over it again. Do not run the Cuttlebug All In One Folder through the Cuttlebug when stamping with clear stamps and foam stamps.

I thought I would share this as an option for stamping images in the exact same place every time.
I have been doing the 30 day stamping challenge and have used this a lot. It has been so helpful getting things lined up correctly.

This is the Cuttlebug All In One Folder. It measures 6"x9". The lid is 1/4" thick and base is 1/4" thick. It is hinged for ease of use.
You only run this through the Cuttlebug when you are using the plates that can be purchased separately for embossing, de-bossing or Letterpress. The plates are purchased separately.

Here I added a plastic grid to the platform as a guide to line up my stamps.
I ran the plastic grid through the Xyron machine and then adhered it to the base of the platform and adhered a 2nd piece of plastic grid to the outside of the lid. I lined the grid up so the grid on the top lid lines up with the grid on the base plate.

This is an example of using the Cuttlebug All In One Folder with clear stamps.
Secure the paper onto the platform with a piece of tape on the back of your paper.
Close the folder lid and press lightly to stamp.

Here is the foam stamp result before I put the plastic grid on the platform. Secure the paper onto the platform with a piece of tape on the back of your paper.  Again I would be careful using foam stamps in the Cuttlebug All In One Folder. Do a dry run before you stamp to make sure your stamp isn't too thick. Close the folder lid and press lightly to stamp.

If your stamped image didn't stamp cleanly. You apply more ink to your stamp and stamp over the image again. It will stamp in the same place as long as your paper is secure and you didn't move your stamp.

Hope this has been helpful!

Happy Crafting!

Chicken Wire Frame Decorated

Chicken Wire Frame Decorated

My daughter bought me a couple of Darcie Craft Wood Frames with chicken wire. I decorated my first one today. I wanted make something to do with summer on one frame. This is what I came up with. All the images were printed to my laser printer then cut out in Cricut Design Space. Then I foiled them with my Anna Griffin Minc.  I found the cutest little clothes pins in the craft section at Walmart.
This is how it turned out! I love it!!

Just Because Card

Just Because Card

Directions:
I used the Anna Griffins Garden Cards and Embellishments digital cartridge images in Cricut Design Space software.
I set the file to print to my laser printer then cut on the Cricut Explore.
I used gold Minc Foil for the leaves and roses. I used Minc rose foil for the butterfly.

Pictured below is what the file looks like in Cricut Design Space.

Foiled Butterfly Card

Foiled Butterfly Card

I foiled Anna Griffin Butterfly in Rose Foil.
The butterfly was part of  an auto ship from HSN of Anna Griffin's Minc die cuts to foil.
I printed the word Love on my laser printer and foiled it with Rose foil.
I stamped using Memory Box Fluttering Stamp and IndigoBlu Flitter Glu.  After letting the glue set for a short time I foiled the image in Rose foil.
I colored some of the butterflies with the Wine colored Cricut pen.
The Wine Cricut pen matches the Rose Foil perfectly.

It takes a lot practice to perfect this technique.
The trick is the set time of the glue to dry and knowing when to lift the foil off.

Pool Party Invitation

Pool Party Invitation

I designed the file in Cricut Design Space design software.
I printed the design out on my laser printer.
I then cut the design out using the Cricut Explore machine.
Next I foiled the glass with the Minc machine.
I thought arrow washi tape was a nice touch for the invite sending the message that the party is this way.

Foiling Die Cuts Using YourStory and Minc Machines

I tested Minc foil and Deco foil with the YourStory laminate machine.
In the picture to the left. The top word (love) is done with Deco foil.
The bottom word (love) is done with Minc Foil.  The die cuts are a little rough because I used a paper punch.
I ran both love words through the YourStory at the same time.  Both images are completely covered. I used parchment paper as my carrier sheet. The coverage is the same.

I tested Minc foil and Deco foil with the Anna Griffin Minc Foil Machine.
In the picture to the right.  The top (&) is done with Deco foil
The bottom (&) is done with Minc Foil.
I used Anna Griffin toner paper.
I ran both (&'s) through at the same time.
Both images are completely covered.
I used parchment paper as my carrier sheet with the Minc heat Setting at 3.  The coverage is the same.

Live Love Craft Luminary

This was the last challenge I did yesterday for NSD (National Scrapbooking Day).
The challenge was to make a luminary. This is what I came up with for the challenge.

Totally Tiffany Teresa Buddy Bag Storage Ideas

I purchased the Teresa Buddy Bags By Totally Tiffany. While I was looking for things to put in it. I came up with the idea of storing my EK Success Mini Punches in there. It fits 13 punches of the new style punch.

It can also be used for Storing Martha Stewart 0.37 Glitter

You can store the .5 oz of Stickles Glue Glitter.
The 1 fl. oz. bottles of Stickles are too big for the Teresa Buddy Bag

This also works for some brands of Nail Polish.
This bag also works nice for the re-inkers for your stamp pads.
